Rich Anthony is an Illinois-based singer/songwriter who released his debut album ‘Electric Love’ in 2014 and then wasn’t heard from again until 2022. After a string of singles and a follow-up to ‘Electric Love’, Rich has unleashed his first new music of the year in the form of ‘If I Had Your Love’. Serving as the first single from his upcoming album ‘eMpTy’, it’s a tune that’s been perfectly constructed and pieced together. With Brandon Harvey and Dan Vasquez by his side, Anthony is allowed to fully focus on his rich, warm, and intoxicating vocal performance. Released less than a week ago, the anthemic and upbeat ‘If I Had Your Love’ is nearing 25,000 plays on Spotify – it’s clearly resonating with many!
All tracks on the upcoming ‘eMpTy’ are inspired by a person whose initials are M.T. “At times I still think of M.T. and wonder what’s going on in their life,” says Rich. “Maybe one of these songs with reach M.T.’s ears and they’ll reach out to me”. If there’s a better or more courageous reason for penning an entire album, I haven’t heard it!
With influences ranging from James Taylor to George Michael, it’s just good to hear from Rich Anthony again. And, if this tune is a sign of things to come, I think we’re in for a treat when ‘eMpTy’ comes out!
