Phoam Unveil Eclectic Album ‘Disclosure’

There’s something rather unique about Phoam. Perhaps, is the group’s ability to engage in electrifying eclecticism while remaining true to their unique style. Championing a plethora of influences, the Swiss group navigates the best realms of pop, electronica and RnB, delivering heart-warming, poignant gems that seem to be almost irresistible. ‘Disclosure’ is the strongest evidence of that. Phoam’s latest effort, a long and engaging album, the record delves into the many personalities shared by the Swiss talents, showcasing their refined and nuanced artistry, over the course of ten stunning tracks.

Opening with ‘You & I’, the album introduced us to Phoam’s personal universe, a place made up of kaleidoscopic and fuzzy synthetisers, often balanced against dark-sounding, haunting vocals. ‘Be Aware’ is decisively more introspective and poignant, really delving into the group’s exploration of human consciousness. ‘Tear the Blinds’ completely shuffles the cards, jumping into a punchier rocker framework, somehow reminding of Muse – among others. Thinking about it, Phoam’s lead vocals, so evocative and luscious, remind us of a younger Matt Bellamy. Which is a great quality, in our opinion.

Fast forward to ‘Puzzle Pieces’, and a grand piano will inevitably raise nostalgia-filled scenarios. We’ll let the user discover the other tracks on the record: after all, there’s a personal component to ‘Disclosure’, and we believe everyone will resonate with the album in different ways.
