Helena May knows it well: championing a winning project for the past few years, her dynamic and uplifting music drew the attention of industry actors, eager to sign her to a major label. While eventually, it didn’t work out – mainly due to May understanding the choice wasn’t right for her – it did leave us with a wonderful song, stemming from the very same experience, ‘Somebody New’.
“This is my power, “break free” song – a reminder to enjoy the journey, be yourself and an encourager to others to be themselves too” – May explains. A universal message that we are confident will connect with many listeners out there, further growing Helena’s audience.
Sonically, we are in euphoric pop territories, with the British talent laying her evocative and fierce vocals over a bed of commercial-infused goodness.
