Trickshooter Social Club Share Americana-laced EP ‘Wilderness Radio’

There’s a certain raw and fierce character in Trickshooter Social Club’s music. A strong sense of empowerment and enjoyment draws the listener into a euphoric yet nuanced sonic universe, one where the only things that matter are the group’s Americana-laced guitars and soothing, relatable vocals. Active for a few years, the Chicago-based band is now returning to the scenes with a wonderful EP, ‘Wilderness Radio’.

In it, Trickshooter Social Club reverse all the eclecticism that seems to inform their artistic identity: borrowing from blues, folk and country idioms, ‘Wilderness Radio’ moves from the rocky shores of ‘Girl vs. Monster’ to the soothing and mellow territories of ‘Bury Me in Light’. Fuzzy distortions leave space for steel guitars and fiddles, showcasing the kaleidoscopic creative flair so greatly championed by the American outfit.

Led by Larry Liss and Steve Simoncic, Trickshooter Social Club seems set on a bright career, as witnessed by their recent achievements. From sharing the stage with bigger national acts to gaining the attention of a plethora of radio outlets and blogs, we are confident the Chicagoan rockers are on the verge of something meaningful. We’ll be here supporting them.
