Foundry Town Survivors Release ‘I Want To Be Loved’

Hey, it’s Foundry Town Survivors again! The Michigan-based duo is proving to be extremely productive, constantly delivering their powerful blend of bluesy tones and classic rock goodness. The keen reader will recall them featuring on our blog a fair bit, let’s just say the pair have a natural gift for writing luscious melodies and relatable lyrics while pursuing punchy and melodic instrumental matter. Writing about them recently, we proudly declared: “Members Mark Tomorsky and Tommy Johnsmiller showcase their musical genius, also aided by metaphorical lyrical matter, motivating the listeners to be authentic towards themselves. It’s all conveyed through relatable melodies, with the occasional stack of harmonies really giving it a vintage vibe.”

Now, Foundry Town Survivors are back with a bang, this time exploring more melodious and pop elements, although always framed into their rock-based aesthetic. ‘I Want To Be Loved’ is a charming journey into the complicated inner workings of love and relationship, declined in a fierce and groovy record. Echoing the likes of Motown soul and Chicago-flavoured rock, the track is a steady gem, constantly driving the rhythm forward while showcasing the duo’s nuanced vocals, here joined by vocalist Marlena Jeter.

Once again, a wonderful effort by Foundry Time Survivors.
