Deltawelle Go Live For Groovy New Single ‘Repetition’

Jeremy Bregman

Deltawelle is a German-based new-wave quarter whose single ‘Normalitätsvermessung’ we proudly featured back in January of this year. This time around, the band has offered up something a little different. ‘Repetition’ is, to the best of my knowledge, the first English language tune that they’ve released. It’s also been recorded as a live session, at the legendary Famous Gold Watch studio in Berlin. This choice of recording live has allowed us to see Deltawelle in a new and exciting way, and I can only wish that more artists choose to take this path.

Getting to the actual song in question, ‘Repetition’ is a synthy, lively, and upbeat little number that sees the band getting expressive, inventive, and downright groovy! It’s honestly one of the catchiest and most tuneful tracks I’ve heard all year…and I think I’m starting to fall pretty hard for Deltawelle.

With ‘Repetition’, Deltawelle prove that language barriers are simply no match for their talent and creativity. They are constantly pushing musical boundaries and experimenting with new sounds and I for one can’t wait to see what they come up with next! I think they’re onto something quite sonically special.

Serious tune alert! Enjoy ‘Repetition’ on Youtube now:
