Now, Knight is back with her latest effort, ‘Journey’, a track that raises the bar in terms of production value: channelling abstract textures, long reverbs and cinematic energy, the song elevates Camila’s choral qualities, especially during the post-chorus, exuding strong celebrative and transformative energy. Interestingly, ‘Journey’ anticipates an EP expected later this year.
Lyrically, ‘Journey’ seeks to describe the highs and lows of life: navigating our everyday consciousness is not easy, and Camila seeks to help us by reminding us that sometimes we do need to make tough decisions, longing for a place where we truly belong. This a particularly relevant theme, especially at a time when recent worldwide events shook off so many lives out of their natural cycle.
