yØx Shares Visionary Record ‘Wallahï Café’

We are confident you’ll find ‘Wallahï Café’ one of the most original records you have ever listened to. Courtesy of Jersey City rapper and sonic explorer yØx, the EP balances over hip-hop and electronica, blending hyper-pop elements and vaporwave aesthetic into one gooey, hypnotising musical sauce. Crowning it all, we find yØx’s vocals, often treated in dazzling autotune and exhibiting a rather ambiguous quality, championing a ‘mumble’ style, understated and complex.

Truly, ‘Wallahï Café’ is the work of a visionary. A groundbreaking force in the scene, yØx is a multi-instrumentalist and digital producer who has been making waves with his unique sound. Drawing inspiration from icons like Fela Kuti, James Brown, RXK Nephew, and Kanye West, he has created an identity that is truly unique. Yet, despite his talent and dedication, ‘yØx’ has struggled to gain the recognition and support he deserves. Even after being sampled on tracks by Kanye West and Kendrick Lamar, he wasn’t paid for his contributions.

That’s why I’m calling on all of you to support ‘yØx’ to continue to create and share his unique vision with the world. Let’s not let another talented artist’s sound and essence go undermined. Let’s empower ‘yØx’ in his quest for self-realization and sonic transcendence.
