Dylan Tauber is an award-winning electronic musician, cyber artist, photographer, and author who is currently based in northern Israel. Last month he released ‘I Am Alive’, his brand new and, to my count, sixteenth album to date! Prolific? I’d say so! Drawing on influences from trance, vocal trance, ambient, and world music, Tauber goes where the sounds take him and he isn’t afraid to get a little experimental if need be. ‘Love and You Will Live’, the album’s opener, sees Dylan working with a male vocalist for the first time ever. Collaborating with an artist from Ukraine, the two create a pulsating and infectious tune that sets the tone perfectly for what’s to come.
‘Spirit Guides’ soon follows and takes a more ethereal and synthy approach. A female vocalist leads the way with an enchanting and silvery voice that works magic alongside the soundtrack. The album’s third track, ‘I Am Alive’, is entrancing and spiritual, and will take you on a magical journey that you wish didn’t have to end.
Nine songs follow the abovementioned ones, and each has a life and a story of its own. Tauber is clearly a master of his craft, and I can’t wait to sink my teeth into more of his music.
