Kurt Gott and Cary Scope Offers Musical Tribute in ‘Christine’

Often, music and art can serve as powerful remembrance tools. American musician Kurt Gott knows it well, using his refined and nuanced songwriting to offer a tribute to a fantastic musician, who only recently passed away: Fleetwood Mac’s Christine McVie. Emerging from South Florida, Gott teamed up with long-time collaborator Cary Scope on a heartfelt, poignant mellow ballad, ‘Christine’, channelling Americana, power-folk and classic pop in the process.

Focusing on celebrating McVie, the song tells the story of her life and the impact she had on the music industry, all while showcasing the duo’s musical abilities. The results are pretty enchanting: the record is a nostalgic yet comforting gem, transporting the listener on a charming journey through vintage sounds and melodies.

Recorded and produced in their home studios, Gott and Scope really showcase their dedication and passion for their craft. The recording process took almost two months to work on in their spare time, demonstrating their commitment to excellence. With ‘Christine’, the Florida duo doesn’t just write a personal tribute, they also celebrate a golden era that seems now long gone, while reminding us that the powerful songwriting-focused sound that once was is still alive, still with us. As long as we keep going playing it.
