Brendan Lane Team Up with QuesMark on Uplifting Banger ‘One Life’

We appreciate when artists step out of their comfort zone, experimenting with new elements and sonic directions. Often, collaboration is exactly the right tool for that. Take for instance Brendan Lane: the Washington, DC resident has found common ground with fellow creative and talented rapper QuesMark, delivering ‘One Life’, a piece that balances over rock and blues influence and hip-hop vibes. In it, we are able to observe Lane in a decisive different setting than we are used to.

Known for acoustic, troubadour-style goodness and introspective and poignant songs, Brendan has recently found success with ‘Grand Prize’, a collaboration with Eli Lev amassing almost 50k streams on Spotify alone. Now, the American talent tries to repeat that effort, betting on more uplifting and punchy material. Lyrically, ‘One Life’ seems to embrace the challenges of life, encouraging its listeners to take a path of their own choosing. An empowering record, it showcases Lane’s flexibility, feeling at home in slow-tempo efforts as he is in groovy bangers.

‘One Life’ is a true ear-worm: the kind of track you’d want to listen to on repeat, motivating you to pursue life to the fullest. We wouldn’t expect anything less from Brendan, rocking a career that has been slowly – but surely – going places.
