Dax’s ‘The Devil’s Calling’ is a Masterpiece

What can we say about Dax that hasn’t already been said? The Nigerian Canadian rapper, singer, and songwriter has worked with Hopsin, toured with Tech N9ne, and even had a little beef with Tory Lanez.

In October 2021, he released ‘Pain Paints Paintings’, a sixteen-track work of art that features a tune called ‘The Devil’s Calling’. Recorded straight after an episode of sleep paralysis, the thought-provoking and uncompromising track touches on many subjects; mental health, addiction, fame, greed, and faith just being some. His delivery, flow, and lyrical prowess are flawless, and it’s no surprise that Dax has the sort of fanbase and global audience he does.

I really love hard-hitting political and conscious hip-hop. Always have, and always will. As a firm “music can change the world” believer, it’s often these genres that hit me the most. ‘The Devil’s Calling’ is an unfiltered, super-charged banger that I simply cannot get enough of! It goes hard straight from the word go and doesn’t let up for a second! If you vibe with it, do yourself a favour and give the entire album a listen. I promise that you won’t be disappointed!
