Alt-Rock from Ireland. Upcoming creative Køpe unveils passionate alt-rock anthem ‘Feelings in the Backseat’. A powerful and emotional gem, the track showcases all the class of a young artist, clearly having something to say and a lot to offer to the music scene.
Headed by Peter Whelan, the project benefits from the 22-year-old’s songwriting qualities, enjoying material that’s rough and gritty while retaining its melodious qualities. Sort of a less intense emo character, with lots of groove. The storytelling is admirable, and provides ample potential for the listener: “I could say that the track is based on one particular experience but I’d be lying. I’ve had the worst arguments in the backseat of a car, yet some of the best and deepest conversations. The purpose was to try and capture these moments together”.
