Discover American Duo Battleviews and Their Soothing and Dynamic Folk Album ‘All of My Days’

The story of Battleviews is a story of resilience, patience, and passion. Resilience, because although married life and family-building got in the way, American duo Ryan and Natalie Raichilson never gave up, always longing for artistic expression. Patience, because they waited for the right moment, which after years finally hit. Passion: the pair had an occasion, and they took it, fuelled by their love for music and songwriting.

The results are wonderful, and they are perhaps evidence of how art can be unpredictable. It might feel like you are over it, but it eventually always comes back to take you home. When the pandemic struck, Battleviews made the most out of a dramatic situation. During all the various lockdowns, they were able to find a time and a place to write and record music, often at night, in their basement, with their kids finally asleep.

‘All of My Days’ is the 10-track album that carries their creative efforts. In it, the listener will find relatable, approachable material, introspective indie folk that captures the love, fun, and hardships of parenting, as well as longing for simpler times. It also features contributions from their children, siblings, as well as friends Jared Hart and Chris Nolan.

From the soothing and poignant lands of title-track ‘All of My Days’ to the punchier and uplifting tones of ‘Joanna Rose’, the record offers something for everyone. The rest is up to you, do you have what it takes to enter Battleview’s artistic universe?
