Emerging as a breaking force in her native France, multidisciplinary artist La Biche champions an eclectic and mesmerising sonic outlook. It all started last summer, with the release of ‘Mister’, a haunting, gloomy yet exciting gem. Showcasing her soulful, introspective vocals against rich and groovy productions, the record gave us a glimpse into a clearly inspired creative, dedicated to her music research.
Now, La Biche returns with what’s her second release of the year: ‘Hard Vision’ is a worthy follow-up, pushing the project’s sonic boundaries even further. Introduced by a soulful yet gritty soundscape, the unpredictable nature of the instrumental works well with La Biche’s intimate and evocative vocals. Before you know it, a breakbeat-style rhythm carries the track forward. In the pre-chorus, we get served dreamy tones and ethereal harmonies. Singing in her mother tongue, La Biche does wonders for foreign listeners: it’s always pretty magical hearing French lyrics.
