Safe to say, Ripponden resident Joss Worthington is one of those figures. You see, he’s not only a gifted singer and an expert songwriter. Joss is also a record producer, hosting high-profile artists in his custom-built studio in West Yorkshire. With such bucolic settings, it is no wonder about the organic and mellow nature of Worthington’s latest single.
‘Fireflies’ is actually the debut effort of Joss Worthington. That is, the artist with that specific name. The human behind the project has many other releases in his belt, all under different monikers, including Postcards From Jeff who’s had a single featured on the hit TV series ‘Cobra Kai.’
Curiously, there’s a certain eclecticism in ‘Fireflies’. While the sonic canvas dances around refined, soothing folk, the listener is also met with dreamy soundscapes and solemn, cinematic vibes. A wonderful experience, taking us through warm melodies and never-ending emotions. What matters though, is the depth of Worthington’s songwriting, enhanced by his evocative and complex vocals.
