Aural Explorer Tomorrow’s Child Delivers Outstanding Electronica Album ‘Beach Ghosts’

We have already covered Tomorrow’s Child quite extensively, but we are not quite done yet. Following up on a year-long journey, the Cornwall sound explorer is now closing the year off with a long-time coming album release. ‘Beach Ghosts’ is the culmination of a lifetime spent experimenting with sonic matter: be it through a synthesiser or a sampler, Tomorrow’s Child found solace and empowerment in his ability to mangle frequencies and create abstract soundscapes.

The British creative borrows extensively from contemporary heroes such as Aphex Twin, Jon Hopkins, Autechre and Clark, while developing his own imprint, an imprint that feels digital yet organic at the same time. It’s an ever-evolving flow of orgasmic dreaminess, wrapping the listener in man-made aural goodness.

Speaking about the record’s hidden lyricism, Tomorrow’s Child explains: “Some tracks contemplate lost industry in Cornwall whilst others explore lost relationships from my past. The referencing of old hymns in the opening and closing tracks relates both to my Father’s role as a Pastor in the Methodist church and the association of Cornish fishermen with the choral singing of such hymns.”
