‘Stand Together’ is the incredible new single from 7000apart, a married Swedish/American indie-pop duo featuring Amelie Eiding and Jon Kresin. Working with Grammy-winning producer and songwriter FEMKE in Nashville, ‘Stand Together’ is, hands down, one of the most beautiful, melodic, and mellifluous tunes that I’ve had the privilege of hearing this year. Written towards the end of 2020, the song is about asking for help, and being there for each other, particularly when times get tough. It’s an absolute gem of a track, and it’s also the last single to be released before 7000apart unleash their new EP.
Having met when they were teenagers, Amelie and Jon’s chemistry was immediate. Their love for music only strengthened this bond, but it was put to the test when Amelie had to return home. “We survived the uncertainty of a three-year, 7000km apart, long-distance relationship by writing heartfelt pop songs together,” they say.
Now both living in the USA, 7000apart are gearing up for the release of their EP, along with maintaining a rigorous touring schedule. There’s no doubt that they’re putting in the work and the hours, and that’s why I am certain that we’ll be hearing a whole bunch more from them in the near future!
