Avalon Kane Teams Up with Stu Patterson in Introspective, Eerie Gem ‘Tracks’

If we had to describe Avalon Kane with a word, we’d probably choose ‘Ethereal’. A true sonic connoisseur, the Australian talent champions strong electronica roots, encompassing both leftfield and dance into a package that’s still accessible, while being dreamy and alternative. Kane could also be described as a shepherd. A shepherd that guides her listeners into a multitude of musical journeys, trips where one could either find or lose themselves… you choose.

Following up on last year’s ‘Celestial Voyage’ album, Avalon Kane has been unveiling a series of singles, of which the latest is ‘Tracks’, a collaboration with singer and multi-instrumentalist Stu Patterson. In what can be defined as an innovative moment for the project, the Australian producer seeks to actively involve vocals in her music, choosing the deep, obscure voice of Patterson for it. It couldn’t have worked better, the two look like a match made in heaven.

Patterson’s eerie, haunting voice pairs perfectly with Kane’s cerebral, mesmerising and introspective sound matter. Building upon a seemingly simple beat, we find ever-evolving soundscapes, providing a minimal yet substantial framework for the vocals to flourish on. The result is precious and flavourful, with the duo making a track for our darker moments.
