‘gone forever’ is the incredibly beautiful second single from York-based singer/songwriter Jeremy M‘s debut EP, an EP that has had to be delayed until next year due to Jeremy’s ill health. A deeply intimate and personal tune, ‘gone forever’ tells an intimate tale of childhood trauma and the fear that that time is ultimately lost and cannot be returned. “Is it too late to face it all, if there’s no one to hear me fall?” asks Jeremy. It’s a profoundly moving piece of music which, believe it or not, was written and produced by the artist in his bedroom.
He did also work alongside Russian producer and friend George Porlemad, who provided backing vocals and some instrumentals for the song, but it’s Jeremy’s exploration of loneliness and grief that takes the track to the next level. Honest, raw, unfiltered, exceptional.
‘gone forever’, when all is said and done, is a passionately intense and heartfelt tune that the whole team here has fallen in love with. Jeremy M is, undoubtedly, a musician to keep a serious eye on. We can’t wait to hear his debut EP next year!
