Jodi Heights Releases Ethereal and Spellbinding Wonder ‘Aurora’

I remember first discovering Boston-based singer/songwriter Jodi Heights earlier this year when she released ‘White Knight’, a haunting, piano-based, rock tune. Her brand-new single ‘Aurora’ could, quite literally, not be any more different. Serving as Jodi’s first original song on the Celtic harp, the ethereal and cinematic track shows a side of the musician that I wasn’t aware of, but feel lucky to have been introduced to. I do recall being seriously impressed by Jodi’s vocals on ‘White Knight’, but ‘Aurora’ simply takes things to a new level. Her voice is breathtaking. Spellbinding. Just incredible.

‘Aurora’ is Jodi’s first recording since joining the Futura Productions family, and working alongside engineer John Weston. Lyrically, the tune uses the aurora borealis (northern lights) as a metaphor for following one’s intuition and, rather than rushing into things, taking one’s time to reflect on the situation.

I know I’ve said this before, but ‘Aurora’ is the type of song that, genre-wise, I wouldn’t ordinarily seek out or come across. At the same time, I’m absolutely loving being exposed to a whole new world of sounds and feelings. ‘Aurora’ is right up there with the best, and we can’t wait to hear what Jodi offers up next!

Serious tune alert! Enjoy ‘Aurora’ on Spotify now:
