Hard-hitting, intense and gloomy, ‘Burn the Bridges’ carries over such striking character in its lyrical component, evoking the spectrum of a relationship gone wrong, and the need to break free from a person we thought was on our side. The record is extremely relatable and vibrant, with Brighton-based musician SANSOM showcasing all of his artistic prowess and bold flair.
Recorded at Brighton Electric Studios, ‘Burn the Bridges’ marks SANSOM’s comeback after a year-long hiatus. We find him with a sharper, angrier attitude, working very well with the project’s alt-rock and indie guitar tones. Decisively dark and cathartic, the single is also pretty catchy, from a songwriting standpoint. It’s a complete, well-oiled record, and we are excited to see where SANSOM might go from here. Spoiler: three more singles are coming later this year.
