just Min Gears Up for Upcoming EP with Evocative Jewel ‘Scars’

We discovered just Min rather recently, celebrating ‘High Speed’ as an “intense and moving piece of music that hits you instantly”, a formula that well summarizes the New York-based creative liminal, authentic artistry. Often built on acoustic, dreamy atmospheres, just Min also embraces occasional alt-folk and indie energy, making for a sonic formula that’s cathartic and evocative, meaningful and vibrant.

‘Scars’ is the project’s latest effort, out today. In it, just Min picks up from where he left off, layering mellow and elegant acoustic guitars along a sea of buoyant textures and ethereal, spacious vocals. The result is a stunning, vivid gem, a slice of personal lyricism that’s bound to resonate with a large audience out there. In fact, the Korean-born troubadour has already turned a few heads, with a solid listenership and heaps of industry attention. We can easily understand why.

Embracing pure, unfiltered personal expression, ‘Scars’ is rather heartwarming and approachable, a simple acoustic offering that holds a much greater complexity, always retaining a relatable and digestible character. Delving into the inspiration behind the song, just Min explains: “Scars ended up as a song telling someone who doesn’t see their own worth that they are loved exactly as they are. We’re all carrying things from our past, but that doesn’t mean we don’t deserve love. There’s something truly beautiful about loving someone through your own personal troubles, even if you’ve both been through some dark stuff in the past.”

‘Scars’ is also the last single before the project’s upcoming EP. Stay tuned!
