Originally from the US and now based in the UK, Sloane is also a classical performer, excelling with the violin. Boasting a series of illustrious collaborations (Haydn Bendall, YUNGBLUD and Chinchilla, among others), the sonic voyager is now taking more personal, authentic steps, and ‘Clueless’ is the magnificent result of that process.
Speaking about the inspiration behind the song, Monroe explains: “‘Clueless’ came from a quintessential late-night conversation with a friend. I was on the phone, laughing about how I’d met a guy on a night out who was completely oblivious to my interest. “Clueless baby” I said, and suddenly, a little lightbulb went off. The next morning, I revisited a project I had been working on for my friend Rebecca (Le Montais), isolating a sample and building the chorus. A few writing sessions later, ‘Clueless’ was born.”
