Greek Songstress MƐlia Shares Luscious Single ‘Aeroplano’

Here at Mesmerized we love to showcase new records from Europe, especially in different languages; our artistic thirst seems to highly benefit from it, allowing us to broaden our cultural horizon. In the case of Greek songstress MƐlia, such benefit is highly informed by mainstream pop elements and sultry R&B vocals, making for a listening experience that’s elegant and luscious, rather timeless.

Inspired by the likes of Jorja Smith, as well as by Greek pop artists such as Josphine, MƐlia delivers ‘Aeroplano’, her latest single, a slice of playful euphoria and unmatched charisma. Introduced by a witty captain-like recording, the song fully embraces his title (meaning ‘aeroplane’ in English), and takes listeners on an evocative, uplifting journey, one that’s further enriched by the record’s bouncy production and Greek flavourings.

Featuring frequent collaborator DISOB3Y, ‘Aereoplano was recorded at Flowstate Studios, in Athens. Speaking about the inspiration behind the piece, MƐlia explains: “The song is special to me because it is based on a personal experience. It was created as part of my creative expression and it holds significance as long as people can relate to it.”
