Yet, the project’s vocal component is fresh and prominent, making it relatable and meaningful to a wider audience. ‘IT’S TOO LATE’ is the single that originally pulls us into Gen’s eclectic orbit.
Steeped in Burial-esque atmospheres and UK Garage-like beats, the track reveals the profound wisdom carried by Gen, rummaging through the history of electronic music and highlighting its wittier side. But it doesn’t end there! ‘MIDNIGHT RAIN’ is the project’s latest EP, released two days ago. In it, we find out more about Gen’s sonic imprint. The painfully delivered spoken words, the trip-hop and downtempo references: everything screams masterpiece.
