LAMBERT Shares Brooding, Vibrant Piece ‘Human Nature’

It’s been an exciting few months for London-based songstress LAMBERT, with ‘After Dark’ and the super lush ‘Used To Be’ paving the way for the project’s new artistic era. Today, that era reaches a new milestone with the release of ‘Human Nature’, a haunting, hazy electro-pop gem packed with nuanced textures and cathartic, evocative vocals. In it, we can fully appreciate LAMBERT’s production prowess, shaping her sound in a vibrant, eclectic direction.

Contrasting ethereal vocal sampling over dry, punchy drum machines and synthwave-esque synth arpeggios, the talented creative fabricates an intricate, overwhelming labyrinth of alt-pop extravaganza and leftfield influences. Eventually, LAMBERT’s songwriting is what anchors the song to a more popular, relatable shoreline, sharing a nostalgic and introspective tale of lyrical authenticity.

Speaking about the inspiration behind the record, LAMBERT explains: “Drawing inspiration from the late cultural theorist Mark Fisher’s Ghosts Of My Life, ‘Human Nature’ is a dark exploration of the personal, societal, and cultural forces that define us.” Look out for LAMBERT’s upcoming EP, expected later this year.
