Tom Minor Shares Latest Single ‘Future Is an F Word’

It hasn’t been long since Tom Minor’s latest album ‘Eleven Easy Pieces on Anger & Disappointment’ – in fact, it’s been just over two months. Described as “an impressive milestone” by us at Mesmerized, the record paved the way for the British songster’s career growth, now continuing through his latest single ‘Future Is an F Word’. Wrapped around a stunning power pop-flavoured, nostalgic livery, the song contains all of Minor’s artistic strong points.

One of those strong points is Tom’s ability to write cryptic, ambiguous lyricism, witty and bold pieces that like to take a hard look at society as a whole, together with scouting the depth of human emotions. Combined with his understated, yet elegant vocals, the project’s catalogue tends to take on a life of its own, wrapping listeners into mysterious, emboldened philosophical journeys.

Speaking about the inspiration behind ‘Future Is an F Word’, Minor playfully explains: “A classically entertaining lament of a relationship going sour. Or – is it in actual fact a highly eloquent piece of political commentary on the inevitable global climate disaster?” The record benefits from Teaboy Palmer’s expert production, described by Tom as “the Brian Wilson of West Hampstead”.
