Sareena Rama Unpacks The Modern Dating Scene in Fierce Gem ‘Dead End’

Following up on her debut effort earlier this year with ‘Groundhog Day’, Los Angeles-based songstress Sareena Rama now returns with a monumental single, her third one to date. Titled ‘Dead End’, the song focuses on Rama’s personal experience with modern dating culture, highlighting the difficulty in communicating properly around a breakup. Such meaningful lyricism is framed into a fierce and rowdy pop-punk livery.

Produced by Claire Morison and in collaboration with JD Rome, ‘Dead End’ takes Rama in a more alternative direction, something we are pretty keen about. The disrupting and punchy energy behind the single well suits her overall artistic image. Sareena’s evocative and lush vocals seal the deal, wrapping the listeners into an empowering, resilient aura.

Speaking about the inspiration behind the song, Rama explains: “It highlights how the dating culture of our time allows people to hide behind screens instead of communicating face-to-face about issues in a relationship. It also captures the feelings of frustration, betrayal, and confusion when navigating relationships in the digital age.”
