Love Bash Share Collaborative, Personal Album ‘Falling Upwards’

A multi-layered effort, ‘Falling Upward’ flourishes on a number of great qualities. From the rich, lush and eclectic production – spanning mainstream pop, hip-hop influences and EDM stylings – to its nuanced, meaningful lyricism – delving into transformative topics and identity-driven realisations – the album is ultimately the confirmation of Philadelphia creatives Adelaide ‘Adi’ Day and Brandon Christopher’s prestigious musical stature.

Collaborating under the guise of their production company Spruce Alley, the two artists deliver an expansive musical journey that will certainly entice a wide audience. Love Bash is the name they give to the entity behind ‘Falling Upward’, a moniker that serves a collaborative purpose and includes the many singers and team members involved in the final product. The lyrical layer is equally relevant, delving into Adi’s coming out as a trans and initiating a journey of reckoning and truth through her gender transition.

As she so eloquently explains: “Love Bash has been an exercise in developing my own freedom through creativity. I’ve always felt a deep block to my self-expression and lack of identity-related to my being trans. For this project, I found that when I trust in myself, something beautiful is possible.”
