Frannie B Unleashes Her Debut EP with ‘Wonderland’

Jeremy Bergman

‘Wonderland’ is the eclectic debut EP from Oxford-based pop sensation Frannie B, who drew on inspiration from Jessie J’s debut album ‘Who You Are’. Choosing to collaborate with a different producer on each of the five tracks, Frannie B showcases her incredible range and ability – and invites the listener into what has been her world over the last year. “This EP wanders through my thoughts from the last few months,” says Frannie. “And shows the ups and downs I have encountered”.

Lyrically, the musician deals with feelings of being overwhelmed, lost, and insecure, but also of empowerment, reflectiveness, and having the ability to overcome one’s insecurities. To say that she wears her heart on a sleeve would truly be an understatement. Take the title track ‘Wonderland’ for example,  a song about overthinking and falling too deep into one’s own mind that is beautifully explored against a dancy, dark-pop background. It just works perfectly!

There’s so much to love and admire about Frannie B’s debut EP. Each tune has its own personality, feel, and character. If you’ve been following her career for a while now, none of this will surprise you. But, if you haven’t, just sit back and enjoy the ride!
