Juno Empire Unveils Reflective and Mellow Sophomore Single ‘Stranger’

Having debuted three months ago with a smashing tune called ‘Gold Eyes’, Arizona-based artist and composer Alexander Thomas now returns with another little eclectic indie-rock gem titled ‘Stranger’. Performing under the moniker Juno Empire, Alexander says the musical project is a “party about celebrating being alive.” That vibe is keenly felt throughout his latest track.

While unafraid to explore dark and introspective feelings and themes, Juno Empire’s eternal optimism is a constant sonic accompaniment. Featuring a warm and inviting acoustic guitar, some eerie synths, sweet and delicate keys, and Thomas’ utterly hypnotising vocals, ‘Stranger’ wonderfully captures the essence of confronting the unknown while finding solace in the journey.

“The conversations (I’d had with friends) revolved around this idea that people have unique experiences, and nobody will ever truly understand them the way the individual does,” said Alexander, referring to the song’s “birth.” “Our own experiences are the fabrics that develop our minds…and even similar experiences can generate vastly different outcomes for people.”

The perfect combination of reflective, deep lyricism, and a lush, atmospheric soundscape, ‘Stranger’ allows listeners to lose themselves in its layered and snug embrace. And hey, who doesn’t love a good soundtrack for an existential crisis?
