Remy Reilly Explores Trust and Intimacy in ‘Dirty Work’

Following up on last summer’s ‘Half Price Books’, Texan songstress Remy Reilly recently unveiled her latest effort, a stunning and evocative gem titled ‘Dirty Work’. Built on an eclectic pop production and dreamy textures, the record benefits from an expansive and loose sonic palette, creating the perfect contrast with Reilly’s powerful and anthemic vocals. At just 21 years old, it’s incredible how mature and confident she sounds.

From a lyrical standpoint, ‘Dirty Work’ is an extremely relatable nugget of honesty. Exploring Remy’s own dealings with relationships and intimacy, the song reflects on the impact of negative experiences – such as unfaithfulness – over her ability to bond with others in the future.

As she explains: “‘Dirty Work’ is like my own personal diary entry. It’s a song about the fear of intimacy, the fear of not being enough, and the comparison of others. I wrote this song when I was in a dark place on my self-love journey, and I hope it comforts others who share the same struggles and helps them realize we all are worthy of love.”
