The Juice Return with Anthemic single ‘Pieces’

A bright prospect in Britain’s northern indie landscape, The Juice are slowly yet steadily rising to national attention. It’s easy to see why: shiny indie anthems, lush guitar sounds and hard-hitting aura with meaningful songwriting. It’s the complete package. ‘Pieces’ is the strongest evidence of that. A self-defined “Track Built for the Big Stage”, the single is a monumental, slow-burn banger, made to conquer arena audiences and to close a legendary show in the future, perhaps.

Accumulating intensity over time, ‘Pieces’ starts as a minimalistic, warm piano ballad, gradually adding texture after texture. Before you know it, the track blooms into an all-out, full-band indie anthem, charged with emotional energy and unmatched charisma. The Juice’s vocals are absolutely to die for, fully capturing the listeners’ attention while pushing a message of personal resilience and mental health struggles.

At its helm, the group features brothers and founders Jack and Joe, from Preston. Speaking about the inspiration behind the single, the former explains: “Pieces reflects my own experiences with mental health issues—battling anxiety and going through nervous breakdowns. The song starts with a slow, sad pace to represent when you’re at your lowest, and then builds into something more anthemic to reflect the fighting spirit and joy when you begin to see better days”.
