Following up on his 2023 debut (‘Lady laces’), American artist BOSCO is now back with another rock-powered banger. Aptly titled ‘Shotgun Paradise’, the record doubles down on the project’s aggressive and fierce alt-rock livery, on this occasion infused with a particularly chaotic and rowdy sonic character. From the raw vocal chants to the sharp and pumping guitar tones, everything points towards BOSCO’s newly found lyrical voice, focused on the controversial and the painful.
The result is a freedom-inducing anthem, an invitation to think deeply about the dark times we are experiencing right now. Perhaps a protest song, in a way, ‘Shotgun Paradise’ sees BOSCO lending his punching vocals to what’s a pretty obscure and hard-hitting anthem. What’s more, the release features a stunning music video where we can admire the witty metaphorical artistry that underlines the project.
Speaking about the inspiration behind ‘Shotgun Paradise’, BOSCO explains: “What began as a raw expression of protest evolved into something more when director Jared Sagal took the reins for the music video. Sagal, known for his creative and unconventional approach, transformed “Shotgun Paradise” into a captivating soccer-themed video featuring the talented John Farnworth.”
