Dead Tooth Gear Up for Upcoming UK Tour with ‘Birthday Boohoo’

There is something we have been looking for – something that’s more and more rare these days. It’s instrumental prowess, the ability to perform a shared live experience that’s impactful and electrifying, and the ability to transcend genre barriers. We believe all of those criteria are met in Dead Tooth’s latest record, a stunning slice of intensity and eclecticism, but also impressive musicianship and creative flair.

Titled ‘Birthday Boohoo’, the track is an impressive post-punk anthem, packed with fuzzy guitar tones, chaotic drums, punchy vocals and an intricate saxophone addition, taking the record well over its post-punk borders. Most of all though, the listening experience is highly informed by Dead Tooth’s incredible energy and technical values, something that makes the track relatable and approachable.

Hailing from the US, the group comprises Zach Ellis (guitar/vox), James Duncan (bass), Taylor Mitchell (guitar), Ginno Tacsiat (drummer) and John Stanesco (saxophone/EWI). The good news is that they are just about to embark on a European tour, with its UK leg visiting London, Manchester and Nottingham – more info here

Out now via Greenway Records, ‘Birthday Boohoo’ also includes a hazy and gloomy remix by A Place To Bury Strangers vocalist Oliver Ackermann.
