Yunger Delivers Infectious And Upbeat Beauty With ‘Smile’

Jeremy Bregman

Yunger is the moniker of Vienna-based singer/songwriter and guitarist Felix Junger, and he recently dropped his fifth single ‘Smile’ from his upcoming album ‘Of Hopes & Dreams’. Straight from the off, you’re immersed in Yunger’s folky, acoustic, indie goodness, as the musician jangles his guitar and introduces sweet and optimistic vocal melodies. The tune has a classic 60s power-pop vibe to it as well – just wait for the little guitar solo at 01:53! Taking a less-is-more approach, Yunger sticks to what he knows best on ‘Smile’ – simple yet captivating melodies, and honest, emotional lyrics.

Having studied jazz guitar and played in numerous musical projects throughout the years, Yunger has extensive experience as a live, songwriting, and studio musician. From small pubs, cafes, and even living rooms, to sharing the stage with bands like Flogging Molly, Sum 41, and Brian Fallon (The Gaslight Anthem), Felix Junger has truly been there, done that, and got the T-shirt!

To be honest with you, we’ve had ‘Smile’ playing on repeat since we first heard it. It’s the perfect track to start your day and just provides that extra kick of hope and cheerfulness that we could all sometimes use. We simply cannot wait to hear ‘Of Hopes & Dreams’ when it is released!
