Well, Hailey Newman does, and writes songs about it! ‘Vibez’ is her latest effort, a stunning exploration of young relationships and early attraction. Hailing from Kentucky, the talented songstress manages to pen an uplifting, bubbly jewel with strong nostalgic undertones.
Drenched in alt-country and pop stylings, ‘Vibez’ is first and foremost an absolutely catchy anthem. Featuring expansive, meaningful lyricism and memorable melodies, the single showcases Newmann’s musical prowess, something that we have to recognize as excellent. Although it’s a pretty short episode – less than three minutes – ‘Vibez’ is a wonderful listening experience, playful yet deep.
The record also features a stunning music video, courtesy of Hailey’s sister, filmed in Pikeville, Kentucky. As we are told: “Set against the stunning backdrop of the Appalachian mountains, the video captures the nostalgic essence of the song while adding layers of love and acceptance. One unique element of the video is the shots of multiple diverse couples, representing different walks of life.”
