One of the most fun and interesting records we have written about recently, ‘Nights Like These’ is as playful as it is nostalgic and romantic. Built on a decisively vintage livery, the track resembles 80s pop, especially with the stunning sax solo, here delivered by Trey Magnifique. Crowning it all, we find Jordan Duffy’s expansive and lush vocals, incredibly precise and anthemic. Frankly, the song suits her vocals really well.
Based in Los Angeles, Duffy has showcased her worth times and times again, both on a purely artistic level and on a professional one too; for instance, she’s the vocalist for the ‘Just Between Us’ Podcast theme song. Teaming up with Party Nails on the single’s production, Jordan displays her 4-octave-capable vocals, in what we can only call an absolute triumph.
A rather long track, ‘Nights Like These’ oscillates between vocal harmonies, nostalgic synths and iconic sax lines. Eventually, it comes to a close, but lucky for us, there’s a repeat button!
