Julia Klot Returns with Funky and Upbeat New Single ‘Lie’

Brooklyn-based pop star Julia Klot came bouncing into our world last year with the release of her positively euphoric single ‘Boxing Gloves’. An eclectic and rich offering, it was a tune we simply couldn’t get enough of! Now, Julia makes a triumphant return in the form of ‘Lie,’ her funky, poppy, and infectious new track.

Riddled with complex yet fun instrumental elements, ‘Lie’ is an upbeat and inventive little number that showcases an artist who goes where the music takes her. Unafraid to explore unique sonic territories and with a fearless approach, Julia is clearly determined to carve out her own path.

I’m also deeply drawn to her vocals. Commanding yet inviting, polished yet playful, her voice glides through the song with ease, making each note feel like a personal connection. Just perfect!

“‘Lie is a song about that one guy in the bar who just can’t take a hint,” says Julia. “Consider it a song of female empowerment”.

Influenced by the likes of Lawrence, Melt, Remi Wolf, Sara Bareilles, and Lake Street Dive just to name a few, Julia Klot is poised to go from strength to strength with her newly discovered sound. Also, look out for the music video to ‘Lie’ on YouTube! It’s scheduled for release this coming Friday!
