Discover David D’angelo’s Deeply Hypnotic Single ‘I.M.O.W’

On June fifteenth of this year, San Francisco-based producer and multi-instrumentalist David D’angelo released his debut album ‘In My Own World’. Track three on the record is a tune called ‘I.M.O.W,’ and features classically trained violinist David Scott Binanay as well as the talented vocalist Chloe Jean. A lo-fi hip-hop offering at its core, ‘I.M.O.W’ is a song I haven’t been able to stop listening to since I first heard it. Let’s dig a little deeper, shall we?

Delving into themes of isolation, self-discovery, and finding inner peace, ‘I.M.O.W’ flows with a gentle and soulful aura. It’s nuanced, mellow and deeply hypnotic, inviting listeners to reflect on their own journeys while being wrapped in its calming embrace.

A quiet moment of introspection, it’s a tune that almost feels like a deep breath for the soul. A moment of stillness that one can simply melt away to.

The additions of David and Chloe further enhance the richness of ‘I.M.O.W,’ and Chloe’s smooth delivery adds a layer of warmth and serenity to proceedings that is just spectacular. With a runtime of three minutes and twenty-two seconds, it’s a track that feels as if it could be played on repeat forever and never lose its charm – the sign of an effortlessly captivating piece of music that remains fresh and alluring with each listen. Pure brilliance!
