Linda Sussman Delivers Stripped-Down Showstopper ‘Remember Dorothy’

Linda Sussman is a name that needs no introduction around these parts! The Long Island-based singer/songwriter has been on our radar for nearly two years now, thrilling us with tunes like ‘Don’t Let It Rain’ and ‘Let Common Sense Prevail’. Her album ‘Win or Lose’ was one we labelled as an “eclectic acoustic journey,” and I am now proud to introduce you to ‘Remember Dorothy’, Linda’s brand new single.

Part folk and part blues, it’s a gritty little number that features just an acoustic slide guitar and Sussman’s distinguished vocals. Leaving all bells and whistles at the door, the stripped-down approach brings out the song’s essence, making it a deeply compelling and heartfelt listen.

Sending out a reminder of the courage that exists in all of us, ‘Remember Dorothy’ finds lyrical inspiration in The Wizard of Oz, and was penned especially for all those in the queer/LGBTQIA+ community.

“I hope this new single resonates with anyone who feels they have sat too long on the sidelines,” says Linda. “This is a song about being seen. It is about strength. And it is about coming out of the shadows”.

Never failing to impress us, Linda Sussman once again proves her ability to craft music that speaks directly to the heart with authenticity and grace.
