Imitation Team Up with Kazuhiro Takeuchi on ‘Any of It’

Immersive and cathartic, ‘Any of It’ is a hypnotising slice of modern indietronica, an evocative piece providing a riveting, magical listening experience. Over a dreamy four minutes, the record sees Hungarian outfit Imitation showcasing their creative prowess, especially delving into slow releases of sonic intensity and ethereal, trance-flavoured electronica.

The end result is certainly compelling, contrasting an indie song format against a leftfield, ever-evolving instrumental. Imitation’s female vocals are a perfect match for the track, incredibly vibrant and luscious. Eventually, ‘Any of It’ finds its glorious resolution in a sea of textures and noisy soundscapes, making for a rather mysterious ending.

Aiming to find an audience in Asian markets, the single also anticipates a longer effort, the album ‘Time Rhymes’. Furthermore, ‘Any of It’ ships with a compelling remix made by Japanese producer Kazuhiro Takeuchi, transporting the piece into glitchy, fast-paced electro corners.
