Chandra Unveil Long-Awaited Debut EP ‘Lifted’

Again, I am indebted to my fellow writer Gabriel Mazza for introducing me to Bristol-based rockers Chandra. He’s reviewed their previous four singles, and in that time, I’ve been drawn deeper into their uplifting and energetic sonic world. The band recently put out their debut EP in the form of ‘Lifted,’ a record containing those four singles plus an older tune called ‘Lighters To The Sky’ and a brand new beauty titled ‘Overload’. Let’s dive in shall we?

‘Smile (No Fox Gibbon)’ gets proceedings underway and delivers a punchy and spirited introduction that sets the tone for the rest of the EP. ‘Pretty’ then steps up to the plate, and it’s a track we previously described as a “playful and dynamic pop-rock banger.” We firmly stand by this statement! It’s an exhilarating and upbeat gem!

‘I’ll Be There’ is a fuzzy and hard-hitting anthem that instantly gets stuck in your head, while ‘Lifted’ takes on a more pop-punk sound with a bright and infectious vibe.

‘Lighters To The Sky’ gets a fresh and refined re-recording, before we end with the outfit’s brand new offering ‘Overload’. It’s a song that delivers quite a different auditory journey compared to its predecessors and sets the stage for what could be a bold new chapter in Chandra’s musical story. An epic EP from start to finish!
