Jordana Delgado Releases Long-Awaited New EP ‘Seasons’

Cards on the table…We absolutely revere Jordana Delgado! Having had the privilege of interviewing the Vancouver-based pianist and composer last year, she’s a musician whose art we’ve fallen deeply in love with. At the end of last month, Jordana delivered her brand new EP titled ‘Seasons’, a beautiful five-track offering featuring four previous singles plus a spectacular version of Yann Tiersen’s classic Amélie piece ‘Comptine D’un Autre Été: L’après-Midi’.

Described by the artist as “a journey through the colours of the year,” each tune on the EP represents a season, and we begin with ‘Autumn Leaves,’ our introduction to Delgado’s work. An ingenious and moving cover of a timeless classic, it initiates the record with exactly the right atmosphere.

‘Somewhere in My Memory’, a John Williams piece penned especially for the movie ‘Home Alone, serves as the EP’s second song, before George Winston’s gem ‘The Cradle’ steps up to the plate.

Track four is a Jordana Delgado original called ‘The Dancing Pink Flowers’, a tune we previously labelled as “intimate and cosy,” before the aforementioned version of  ‘Comptine D’un Autre Été: L’après-Midi’ plays us out.

If you’re looking for a soothing and relaxing experience, look no further than ‘Seasons’. Just brilliant from start to finish!
