Paul Cafcae Returns with Timeless New Single ‘The Rider’

A subtle and nuanced fusion of elegant country and alluring Southern blues, ‘The Rider’ is a more complex piece of music than it might appear on the surface. Courtesy of Canada-based singer/songwriter Paul Cafcae, the three-piece instrumentation emits a timeless quality to the tune – and brings to mind the likes of Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, and Tom Waits.

Paul’s sultry and distinctive vocal performance further enhances the track’s raw and evocative power, all culminating in a compact song that sucks the listener in completely with authenticity and genuineness.

A love ballad at heart, ‘The Rider’ serves as a follow-up to Cafcae’s well-received single ‘Banks of Marble’. Both tunes will form part of the artist’s upcoming album, a record that Paul promises will be a “compelling mix of heartfelt ballads and thought-provoking social commentary”.

While I can’t quite put my finger on just what has utterly captivated me about this track, ‘The Rider’ has an undeniable magnetic quality that I find deeply compelling and impossible to shake. Let’s hope Cafcae doesn’t make us wait too long for his new album, because I for one can’t wait to hear it!
