‘Crumbling’ is the absolutely smashing and highly anticipated new single from Cincinnati-based singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Catlea. Released exactly two weeks ago, the vibrant and energetic tune wonderfully showcases the artist’s unique blend of indie pop-rock and EDM.
Featuring an uplifting piano courtesy of Nick Tsang, (Ed Sheeran, Lewis Capaldi) and Catlea’s raw, angelic, and powerful vocals, ‘Crumbling’ builds itself up effortlessly, eventually reaching a dramatic and passionate crescendo that just hits all the right feels.
Dealing with the inevitability of not living up to unrealistic expectations and finding the power to rebuild oneself, ‘Crumbling’ explores intense vulnerability through a playful lens. “To those who are lost; we can always find ourselves again, no matter how many times we may crumble,” says Catlea.
Working alongside renowned mixer and masterer Jason Boshoff, (Josh Groban, Rufus Wainwright) Catlea and Co. have concocted one of my favourite tracks of the year. It’s just the perfect song in so many ways. And, with ten new tunes and a full-length album ready to be unleashed, I simply cannot wait to hear from this gifted musician again soon!
