There’s a whole lot of great records from very young talents out there. Further proof that age is not a definite factor for being a great artist; Olie Beckett knows something about it. At just 14 years old, he’s on a mission to conquer the international pop scene, doing so with playful and positive anthems which are truly catchy and memorable.
‘Effortlessly’ is the biggest evidence of that: built on mainstream stylings, the track absorbs influences from R&B and Western pop, while also featuring a healthy amount of electronic elements. Beckett’s signature treble vocals are the perfect match for such a vibrant offering, showcasing all of their malleability and extensive tonal range.
Speaking about the inspiration behind his music, Olie explains: “I have matured my music sense to the trends that I find inspiration in: music artists like Harry Styles, Sza, and Rosalia. It is always easy to find who you like as an artist but it is harder to find who you are as an artist.”
