Indie Rock Exhuberancy In PolSky’s Latest Gem ‘Halcyon Daze’

You might have noticed, there has been a general comeback towards guitar-driven vibes; be it punk or indie flavoured, we guarantee someone is doing it. We welcome it; after enduring a few years with EDM topping charts worldwide, it was time for a change. In that sense, London-based indie outfit PolSky put themselves at the forefront of the new music scene, by delivering a peculiar, inspired sound, balanced between groovy indie riffing and more refined retro sensibilities.

It doesn’t stop there though, citing acts such as The Cure, Bryan Ferry and Bloc Party as their inspirations, the talented group channels the best of what Britain has to offer, delivering music that’s fresh and edgy, but also reminiscent of the past, functioning as a sort of celebration of the amazing band that took us to where we are now.

After debuting last year with ‘100 Million Ways To Die’, PolSky says hello in 2022 with the recently released bop ‘Halcyon Daze’. Navigating a sonic universe made of fuzzy guitars, sporadic synthesisers and tight, punchy drums, the track is filled with instrumental riffs, providing the perfect backdrop for the group’s lead vocal to shine. Young, exuberant and boasting perfect musicianship, the group is really on the verge of something big: will they be able to grab it?

Well, we’ll be listening and supporting! Eager to see PolSky conquering the world.

In the meantime, listen to ‘Halcyon Daze’ on Spotify:
