Sam Lily Releases Heartbreaking New Ballad ‘Soothe’

Lately, a lot of the new music I’m falling for seems to have a common thread – it’s coming out of Australia. There seems to just be a special type of sound emanating from Down Under, and the latest single from singer/songwriter Sam Lily is no exception. Titled ‘Soothe’, the melancholic indie-folk tune is a deeply personal one for the artist, as he delves into the emotional turbulence of a breakup.

Produced by Ben Saler and featuring John Lawrie on the banjo, ‘Soothe’ is a mellow and intensely absorbing piece of music. Sam’s heartfelt vocal performance is an absolute show-stealer, and one can feel the authenticity of his sorrow and reflection with every note. An anguishing ballad of the highest order, it’s a track that remains with the listener long after the final chord has been played.

“My aim with ‘Soothe’ is for it to be relatable to anyone who has experienced a similar emotional journey,” says Lily. “It’s about using music to lift the burden of heavy emotions during tough times”.

Sam’s latest song will form part of his forthcoming EP ‘Twigs and Sticks’, and he’ll be unleashing new singles throughout the rest of the year. We can’t wait to follow his musical journey!
